On the 27th and 28th of April 2026, BREAKthrough Career Days event was hosted by Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) in Barcelona.
This event was organized for the doctoral candidates in order to prepare them for the professional world as they are in their final stages of their PhDs. The training included interactive sessions such as How to manage a team? and Interview and Job application skills in science.
The sessions also focused on strategies to discover new antibiotics, Research Impact and Importance of patents in antibiotic development.
BREAKthrough Career Days aimed at to improve communication skills of the DCs, providing them an understanding of the various career options that they can opt for and also how to reach out to the community when it comes to sharing their results.
The event also included a guided tour around the captivating city of Barcelona for the doctoral candidates to know more about the history of Barcelona, Gaudi’s mesmerizing architecture and flavorful Spanish food.
