The 36th European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases was held between 17-21st of April 2026 in Munich, Germany, bringing together all the researchers from the field of Clinical Microbiology at the same forum to present their research.
The doctoral candidate Umama Qasim, from Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) presented a poster titled “Screening of the antibacterial activity of small molecules, targeting protein targets in the cell wall, against a collection of different bacterial species”.
The poster represented combined efforts of the teams from Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) and Department of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana along with ISGlobal to assess the activity of small molecules against bacterial species.
